I want to thank all of the artists, Kay from Clever Starfish - our web developer - and the staff at St Georges for the amazing patience and help in the final phase of getting all of the submissions 'live' - and the week before Christmas - who said it couldn't be done!!

The legend of St George and the Dragon is an ancient one. It stimulates images of the triumph of good over evil, the yearning for life over death, the prevailing of peace with justice over tyranny and oppression. Ultimately St George and the Dragon is a symbol of hope for the future, and faith in the transcendence of the human spirit over all that can demean and distort.

New Timeline update......
Due to an unprecented interest from artists from around the world, a decision has been made to extend the time for the submissions until December 2008.
